Capgemini announces agreement to acquire Quantmetry

Capgemini announced on October 28 that it has reached an agreement to acquire Quantmetry, an independent consulting firm specializing in mathematical data modeling and the development of AI technology solutions. The group intends to strengthen its skills in data transformation at scale and in the development of innovative products and services to support the digital transformation of its customers. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Capgemini, a digital services company, was founded by Serge Kampf on October 1ᵉʳ in Grenoble, France, under the name Sogeti. Today, it has become a world leader in this sector and employs 350,000 people in more than 50 countries. With 55 years of experience and extensive expertise in a variety of industries, it meets all of its clients’ needs, from strategy and design to operations management, with its capabilities in AI, cloud, data, connectivity, software and digital engineering.

In 2022, the group pursued an acquisition policy to accelerate the transformation of its services portfolio. In particular, last October it acquired Braincourt, a German company specializing in business intelligence and data science, to strengthen its data and data analysis capabilities in Germany and Northern Europe, as well as the consulting firm Quorsus to strengthen its capital markets services for financial institutions.

The acquisition of Quantmetry

Founded in 2011, Quantmetry is a pioneer in its sector, having started out by offering statistical analysis, particularly for inventory optimization, and accompanied the creation of the first Data Labs within major French groups.

Winner of the AI for Industry Challenge 2019, Quantmetry joined the Confiance.ai collective launched by the French government in January as part of the Grand Défi “Securing, certifying and making reliable systems based on artificial intelligence”.

Today, its expertise in AI, data, ML and business intelligence is recognized by French players in the retail, consumer, insurance, industrial and energy sectors.

Jeremy Harroch, CEO and founder of Quantmetry, states:

“We are delighted to be part of Capgemini and to continue to develop our expertise and values within the Group. We look forward to growing our people and delivering exemplary and impactful projects to our clients. Our consultants, engineers and researchers will be able to put our R&D and machine learning expertise at the center of an ecosystem of excellence. We are committed to promoting the ethical use of mathematics for business decision-making and the common good, in a pioneering spirit.”

The acquisition of Quantmetry will strengthen Capgemini Invent’s (the Capgemini Group’s digital innovation, consulting and transformation brand) expertise in value creation, as well as increase its execution capability in France. It will also strengthen its leadership position in the AI and data consulting and transformation market.

Mathieu Dougados, Executive Director of Capgemini Invent in France, further states:

“We achieve a significant part of our business in this area. Quantmetry brings to Capgemini Invent business and sector expertise that is highly complementary to that already existing within the Group, with very promising synergies. Our teams share the same values and the same ambition to carry out meaningful projects. This new team will strengthen our sustainability services, in particular our ‘Data for Net-Zero’ offering. With Quantmetry, we are strengthening our ability to deliver high-impact transformation programs.”
