SystemX has developed an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach that allows it to work closely with over 180 industrial and academic partners. Since its inception, it has initiated more than 60 R&D projects, consolidating its position through a value creation strategy structured around five technological environments: data science, AI & interaction, scientific computing & optimization, systems engineering & operational safety, cybersecurity & networks, and digital infrastructures & software engineering.

Notable achievements of SystemX include the development of the MOSAR platform for the validation of autonomous vehicle safety, and the LIPS software suite for benchmarking hybrid numerical simulation models. These initiatives have enabled SystemX to make significant contributions to European standards in intelligent transport and vehicle cybersecurity.

SystemX has recently launched several ambitious research programs, such as Cybelia, aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity of French industries, and the Digital Soil Twin (JNS) project, which is part of the French AgriTech agenda for connected and sustainable agriculture. The IA2 program (Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Engineering) is also underway, with projects like AFS (Agility and Fidelity of Simulations) leveraging AI to enhance the design processes of complex systems.

The IRT also plays a crucial role in the Confiance.ai program, a technological pillar of the Grand Défi “Securing, certifying, and ensuring the reliability of AI-based systems.” This program brings together an ecosystem of over 50 partners and aims to industrialize trustworthy AI in critical products and services.

SystemX is a central player in the French and European technological ecosystem. In 2022, it was involved in nine European consortia, ranking first in France for funding on the theme "Safe and Intelligent Transport and Mobility." Its involvement in initiatives like the Confiance.ai program and collaboration with the German collective VDE to create a Franco-German label on trustworthy AI illustrates its commitment to aligning technological solutions with European regulatory requirements.
