IRT SystemX

The Institut de Recherche Technologique (IRT) SystemX, founded in 2012 as part of the Programme d’investissements d’avenir, has established itself as a key player in the field of digital engineering of systems in France. Now integrated into the France 2030 initiative, SystemX is the only IRT exclusively dedicated to this discipline, playing a central role in accelerating the digital transformation of industry, services, and territories through its expertise in analysis, modeling, simulation, and decision support for complex systems.

SystemX has developed an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach that allows it to work closely with over 180 industrial and academic partners. Since its inception, it has initiated more than 60 R&D projects, consolidating its position through a value creation strategy structured around five technological environments: data science, AI & interaction, scientific computing & optimization, systems engineering & operational safety, cybersecurity & networks, and digital infrastructures & software engineering.
Notable achievements of SystemX include the development of the MOSAR platform for the validation of autonomous vehicle safety, and the LIPS software suite for benchmarking hybrid numerical simulation models. These initiatives have enabled SystemX to make significant contributions to European standards in intelligent transport and vehicle cybersecurity.
