Facing the challenges of digital independence, three Perpignan-based tech companies are calling for the creation of LESTAC AI. This cooperative society will serve to build a production and hosting tool for local and secure artificial intelligence solutions.
Artificial intelligence is an essential lever of competitiveness and innovation for businesses. However, dependence on major global platforms raises issues of sovereignty, security, and data control. Aware of these challenges, Adamentis, CBAO, and Mind & Go are launching LESTAC AI, an ambitious project aimed at providing businesses in Pyrénées-Orientales with a local, ethical, and ecological AI infrastructure.
Inspired by the famous Catalan anthem "l'Estaca," a symbol of freedom and independence, LESTAC AI is embedded in a cooperative approach. As a SCIC (collective interest cooperative society), it will allow local businesses to actively participate in its development and benefit from a reliable alternative to the AI solutions of digital giants. Its objective: to ensure data confidentiality, strengthen the technological autonomy of the region, and promote a model of responsible and sustainable innovation.
To mark the launch of LESTAC AI and mobilize economic actors, a conference titled "How to Build Together a Sovereign and Local AI?" will be held on:
Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in the conference room of the Palais Consulaire in Perpignan.
This event, organized with the help of Mr. Laurent GAUZE, President of the CCI of Pyrénées-Orientales, will bring together several experts:
