A new generation of automatic license plate recognition cameras
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Genetec markets its solutions worldwide through an extensive network of resellers, integrators, certified distribution partners and consultants in over 80 countries. On August 10th, Genetec unveiled its new generation of RAPI camera named AutoVuSharpV. Designed for fixed ANPR installations, this new tool can be up and running in a matter of minutes, thanks to multiple features such as integrated 4G/LTE/GPS and motorized lenses with zoom and autofocus. Stéphane Varin, Product Manager for Genetec, explains its usefulness for businesses:"ANPR is an essential part of many organizations' toolbox. It can be used to gather operational information and evidence for crime resolution, enforce parking regulations and establish traffic patterns in dense urban environments. The new SharpV is easier to deploy, can cover a wider field of view and provides more data on vehicle identification and behavior."
