At Entrepreneur First, we believe the most ambitious people should found companies – specifically – deep tech startups. We believe that deep learning is one of the best options to consider when founding a tech startup. Join us for an evening of talks to find out why.

Did you ever think about building a disruptive tech company using AI and deep-learning but didn’t know how to get started? Are you someone who can’t wait to use your technical experience to found a startup, but just don’t have a cofounder?

You’re not alone.

Entrepreneur First invites you to hear the inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and experts that have insighs to share on what it takes to and build deep-learning companies in Europe. They will share their thoughts on the ecosystem, the journey that brought them to where they are now, and their advice on how you can think about your career as a AI based startup founder.

Wilder Lopes is the co-founder and CTO of Upstride, a startup that is leveraging a new computational paradigm to drastically reduce the amount of data necessary to train AI models in computer-vision applications. He will walk us through his story, his struggles and the opportunities offered by his technology.

Matteo Amerio is the co-founder and CEO of Navee, a technology company that derives insights from images to boost content moderation systems on digital platforms, thanks to AI and deep learning. Matteo will speak about his company, his technology and his vision on how technology can help user generated content platforms to tackle fraud.

Allister Furey is MD of Entrepreneur First’s Europe programmes in London, Berlin and Paris. Unlike other VCs, EF invests in individuals they believe have the potential to found a technology company, at the earliest possible point – before they have a team, idea or company. They then support those individuals to find a co-founder from a pool of exceptional peers as committed as they are, develop a globally ambitious business idea and then raise money.

Based across Paris and Singapore, Gwendolyn Regina is Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First. She has spent 13 years across the media and technology startup sectors in Asia and Silicon Valley. Previously as a founder, Gwen built and sold tech media startup, SGEntrepreneurs to Tech in Asia. She was also a founding team member of Thymos Capital, an early stage technology investment firm in Singapore with three exits to date and spearheaded Mashable’s expansion into Asia Pacific.

At Entrepreneur First, we believe the most ambitious people should found companies and we are here to enable that. Join us for a panel discussion on May 22nd to find out how.
