3.45 pm – Q&A

The discussion will focus on how we as Europeans can become more successful in translating the top-notch results that our cutting-edge AI research institutions produce into practical business ideas, i.e. into the development of innovative, commercial products and services, can be improved through closer collaboration and networking between European players. The talk will also focus on how closer cooperation and networking between European players have a part in this.

Baden-Württemberg is the first German Federal state to have launched an extensive digitalisation strategy. To this end, the state will invest one billion euros in digital transformation over the next years. By strengthening AI this way, the state is aiming to maintain and expand its position as a world-leading industrial location and attractive partner for international cooperation.

At the same time, exchange and cooperation with our French partners from industry and science is crucial – especially in order to be able to face global competition. A first step in promoting European cooperation in AI could be to expand the Franco-German ecosystem, for example by encouraging businesses and research institutes to make joint use of the results from their technological research; thereby tapping into new international market sectors.

Simultaneous German / French translation will be given throughout the event.

This event is organized by Baden-Württemberg International (www.bw-i.de) on behalf of the State Ministry Baden-Württemberg and in cooperation with Hub France IA (www.hub-franceia.fr).
