Microsoft will open a global development center dedicated to AI and Digital Transformation on its Issy-les-Moulineaux Campus, in France. This center will help companies and startups from all over the world in their transition to the latest technologies.  (Full article in French)

LightOn: The future of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning relies on the light. LightOn is a French startup building Optical Processing Unit. Those components enable faster and greener AI computing thanks to random projection. OPU are currently the size of a rack and they are meant to be used in datacenters for AI computing, but it should in the future be embeddable in any computer as a single chip. LightOn’s technology is compatible with traditional Machine Learning tools and provided with a python library. (Full article and video interview in French)
