LightOn: The future of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning relies on the light. LightOn is a French startup building Optical Processing Unit. Those components enable faster and greener AI computing thanks to random projection. OPU are currently the size of a rack and they are meant to be used in datacenters for AI computing, but it should in the future be embeddable in any computer as a single chip.
