France 2030

The France 2030 program is an ambitious initiative launched in October 2021 by the French government. With a budget of 54 billion euros, it aims to transform the French economy by strengthening the country's industrial and technological sovereignty. The plan revolves around ten objectives and six strategic levers to support innovation in key sectors such as digital, hydrogen, batteries, space, and health, while continuing the decarbonization of the economy.

Areas of Expertise and Key Achievements

France 2030 stands out for its ability to support diverse and ambitious projects across several areas of expertise. Among the notable achievements, the program facilitated the training of 100,000 people in future professions in 2024, with a goal of 400,000 per year by 2030. In the field of biotechnology, 47 bio-medicines are already produced in France, with the aim of reaching 60 by 2030. Additionally, the program supported the production of 640,000 electric and hybrid vehicles in 2024, in line with the target of 2 million vehicles by the end of the decade.

Recent Contributions and Notable Projects

The program has recently intensified its commitments with an additional 1.5 billion euros in investments approved for 250 new projects, notably in the areas of decarbonized hydrogen, space technologies, and digital sovereignty. Furthermore, the program funds calls for projects to stimulate innovation in sectors such as renewable energy, electronics, and robotics, to enhance French competitiveness on the international stage.

Position in the Technological Ecosystem

France 2030 plays a central role in the French and European technological ecosystem. The program supports cross-cutting initiatives like the ANITI AI Cluster in Toulouse, which brings together academic and industrial players around trusted artificial intelligence. Additionally, France has positioned itself as a leader in generative AI, attracting significant international investments and stimulating the creation of innovative startups in this field.

Recent Developments and News

Recently, the program launched initiatives such as the RFP "Digital Transition of Culture and Appropriation of Artificial Intelligence," aiming to integrate AI into cultural and creative industries. The "Dare AI" plan was also unveiled to democratize AI within the French economic fabric, with ambitious integration targets in large companies, SMEs/ETIs, and very small businesses by 2030.

In parallel, France 2030 supports research and development projects like Confiance.ai, which aims to secure and certify AI-based systems. The program has also strengthened its international collaborations, notably with the European Union, to attract talent and promote open and free science.

In conclusion, France 2030 positions itself as an essential catalyst for innovation and economic transformation in France. By mobilizing significant resources and supporting strategic projects, the program is a key player in the transition towards a sustainable and competitive economy on a global scale.
