Presentation of the 11 winners of the 3rd call for projects of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) is a world-class science and technology institute that brings together five prestigious French engineering schools: École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis. To increase its societal impact, it has launched its third call for projects to detect and support innovative projects from its laboratories and is now presenting the 11 winning projects.

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris was created in May 2019, drawing on the 200 years of expertise in science and technology of its 5 founding schools. It is positioned as a leading teaching and research institution in France and internationally.

In order to achieve its ambitions and expand its funding opportunities, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris is developing interdisciplinary research projects capable of providing concrete solutions to current and future global challenges. Initially, the institution is working on energy and climate, AI and data analysis, biomedical engineering, defense and cybersecurity. Other areas will be highlighted in a second phase, such as quantum technologies.

In line with its ambitious innovation policy and to increase its societal impact, IP Paris has launched its third call for projects to detect and support innovative projects from its laboratories. The aim is to build the invention-market fit and to achieve an initial proof of concept.

After selection, 11 projects were selected for a total of 840,000 euros in funding. These projects cover fields as varied as the physics of materials, MedTech, the environment, networks and 5G.
