TLDR : Orange Business has obtained the SecNumCloud qualification from ANSSI for its Cloud Avenue SecNum offering, confirming its IaaS infrastructure's compliance with the highest security standards. This certification strengthens its position in the "trusted cloud," guaranteeing secure data hosting compliant with French and European digital sovereignty requirements.
Orange Business, the B2B branch of the French telecom operator, has recently obtained the SecNumCloud qualification granted by the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI) for its Cloud Avenue SecNum offering. This certification confirms that its IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) infrastructure meets the highest standards of security and compliance in data protection.
With this visa, Orange Business strengthens its position in the "trusted cloud" ecosystem. The SecNumCloud framework, considered the most rigorous in Europe, ensures that data is hosted in a secure, controlled environment, compliant with French and European requirements for digital sovereignty, including legal and geopolitical risks.
A targeted response to critical sectors
Deployed in an eco-friendly data center in Grenoble and operated by French teams, the Cloud Avenue SecNum platform is based on a modular "as a service" architecture, allowing clients to enhance their technological autonomy while relying on advanced security measures: encryption, key management, network isolation, access control, physical protection of facilities, and complete traceability of actions.
This location allows Orange Business to meet the needs of organizations with strict sovereignty requirements, particularly in sectors such as defense, healthcare, finance, industry, and public services.
With this qualification, the operator joins a select group of already certified players, such as OVHcloud and 3DS Outscale. It is also awaiting SecNumCloud qualification for its Bleu project, co-developed with Capgemini, which aims to offer Microsoft services in a sovereign environment, beyond the reach of U.S. extraterritorial laws. Approval is expected in the first half of 2026.
