A corporate fund in full acceleration

Created in 2021 in partnership with venture capitalist XAnge, La Poste Ventures increases from €35M to €75M in commitments. This enhanced envelope reflects the desire of the La Poste group to capture so-called "disruptive" innovations from their earliest years of existence (seed to Series A) and to position itself as a minority shareholder, with stakes ranging from €300k to €3M for 5% to 20% of the capital.

Since its launch, the vehicle has already invested in 12 startups and aims for a maximum portfolio of 30 participations. Six of them - Carbonable, Smart Tribune, Dealt, Pony, DouzePointCinq, and Vianova - were recently highlighted at the La Poste Lab at VivaTech.

Two new pillars at the heart of technological challenges

La Poste Ventures is now expanding its investment thesis to two strategic areas:

New domain Objective pursued
Deeptech Identify and support programs with very high technological intensity (advanced AI, industrial robotics, quantum, new materials, etc.).
Cybersecurity Promote the rise of solutions capable of preventing, detecting, or neutralizing cyber threats facing companies and communities.

These axes complement the four historically covered verticals - augmented logistics, health & well-being, green & smart cities and territories, and trusted digitalization - all closely linked to the strategic plan "La Poste 2030, committed to you".

A positive impact open innovation tool

Beyond financing, La Poste Ventures aims to be an open innovation lever for the group:

  • Anticipate technological and sectoral disruptions.

  • Understand new uses and economic models, particularly those related to AI, data, and robotics.

  • Identify impactful services aligned with strict ESG criteria.

The selection is made in France and Europe, always hand in hand with XAnge, La Poste's partner since 2002.

"In four years, La Poste Ventures has established itself in the French corporate venture ecosystem. Strengthening our capital allows us to embrace two fields at the heart of tomorrow's challenges: deeptech and cybersecurity", explains Betty Marcerou, Director of Strategy, Transversal Partnerships, and Innovation at La Poste group.
