AI and Female Inclusion: Women in AI and Social Builder Join the GenIAles Program by Simplon and Microsoft

TLDR : The GenIAles program, launched by Microsoft France and Simplon, expands with Women in AI and Social Builder to train women in generative AI, providing career opportunities in the digital sector.

Partners since March 2018 to train job seekers in AI, Microsoft France and Simplon, a social and solidarity enterprise, launched the GenIAles program in April 2024 to promote the inclusion of women in digital professions, by introducing them to the fundamentals of generative AI. The initiative now enters a new phase with the addition of two major dissemination partners: Women in AI and Social Builder.
In France, only 22% of women feel they have the necessary skills to understand and exploit generative AI, according to figures presented by the GenIAles program. It is aimed not only at job-seeking women but also at those wishing to retrain or simply get acquainted with generative AI.
Fully funded, with no diploma requirements, the program offers a professional certificate issued by Microsoft. Since its inception, it has opened new professional opportunities in the digital sector for over 500 women, trained either in person or remotely.
The in-person course lasts 4 days, while the online program, which is more flexible, spans 5 weeks with a weekly masterclass led by a specialized trainer (1 to 1.5 hours depending on the sessions), enriched with practical exercises.
A Partnership for a More Inclusive AI
With the arrival of Women in AI and Social Builder, the GenIAles program gains scope and accessibility. These two long-standing actors committed to the inclusion of women in tech enrich the program by offering personalized support to 250 new beneficiaries: 200 followed by Women in AI and 50 by Social Builder.
Their complementary expertise will not only increase the points of contact with participants but also tailor educational content to the diverse profiles and backgrounds of the learners. This reinforcement confirms a shared desire to build a more ethical AI, representative of the plurality of experiences.

Renewed Ambitions for 2025

Driven by the enthusiasm of the first cohorts, the GenIAles team aims at an ambitious goal for the coming months: to train 20,000 women by the end of 2025. A milestone that this new quartet of partners is determined to reach, relying on hybrid and inclusive formats, expanded territorial mobilization, and a pedagogy designed to unlock each individual's potential.
