  • Amphi 2 (10h>12h30 and 13h30>16h30) : HERE

This is the 4th annual scientific conference. The first edition took place in 2018 at the initiative of Antoine Jeanjean (Co-founder of Recommerce and External Lecturer at the University of Bordeaux) and François Clautiaux (Professor at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Bordeaux and President of the ROADEF association).

It aims to organize an open forum around issues deriving from optimization, Artificial Intelligence and Operational Research, with a particular focus on issues related to the management of large masses of data, the use of learning methods within decision-making applications, and the interaction between constraint propagation processes and mathematical optimization.

It is therefore open to any engineer, researcher, innovation or data manager, entrepreneur, etc., from the academic or business world, interested in these themes. One of the objectives of the day is to be fruitful for experts and those who wish to develop expertise in the fields covered.

The 2021 edition is organised with the support of the regional association Digital Aquitaine in a hybrid format, half face-to-face (80 people in the Agora du Haut Carré at the University of Bordeaux, in strict compliance with health constraints) and the rest in remote mode (live video on Youtube).

6 themes are proposed:

  • Theme 1: Data recovery: Tracking, crawling, consolidation, parsing, …
  • Theme 2 : Data Structuring : ETL, Indexing, Structured Data, Data Management, Learning Algorithm, Machine Learning Classification,…
  • Theme 3 : Data provision : Business Intelligence, Dashboard, KPI, Security, High Performance…
  • Theme 4 : Data Analysis : Forecasts, statistics, correlations, Machine Learning,…
  • Theme 5 : Operational Research: Planning, Optimization, Decision Support, Simulation, Algorithm, Yield, Revenue Management, Pricing,…
  • Theme 6: Artificial Intelligence: Robotics, Neuron Networks, Deep Reinforcement, Automatic, Chatbot

This year, Dataquitaine welcomes Dr Benoit Rottembourg for a plenary session on Dynamic Pricing. After starting his professional life by coordinating the teaching of Operational Research at ENSTA, Dr. Rottembourg has spent more than 20 years in industry, working in the field of software development of data science and artificial intelligence tools. In particular, he has developed Dynamic Pricing software in the media, telecom, hotel and transport sectors, managing teams of data scientists for the Bouygues conglomerate in France and the Maersk shipowner in Denmark. In the spring of 2020, he joined Inria, the French national research institute for digital science and technology, to manage the REGALIA project, a framework for regulating algorithms on digital platforms. Co-founder of technology start-ups, he regularly lectures on the subject of Pricing and Revenue Management to students from prestigious schools such as IMT-Lille Douai, ENAC, Sciences Po and ESCP Business School. He will present to Dataquitaine the “iterative data science” approach in the digitalisation of the maritime transport industry with a presentation entitled “Dynamic pricing and supply chain: containers of algorithms”.

21 other presentations of companies or laboratories in the region will also be proposed live and then available for rebroadcast on our Youtube channel. We will find presentations from Scalian, Fieldbox, Recommerce, LABRI, Lectra, Avisia, Azeo, Floabank, Inria, CHU Bordeaux, Insee, Zenika, AT Internet, Thelio, Akiani, Atoptima, MyDataBall, Hellowork, … The presentations will mix theoretical topics, feedback, sharing of best practices. The 2020 edition gathered more than 400 people. We are expecting more than 500 people for this new edition which will be broadcast entirely online on Youtube.
