The edition of the 2^th issue of the magazine ActuIA to be published on 15 October was the occasion to set up its scientific committee. Composed of 8 women and 7 men, these professionals and researchers from different backgrounds and countries express all the richness of the French-speaking AI ecosystem.

The quarterly paper magazine ActuIA, whose first issue featured Yann LeCun, winner of the 2018 Turing Prize, is distributed on newsstands throughout France. Its ambition is to bring artificial intelligence within the reach of all economic players and associations. Its promise is to inform in a pragmatic way, while taking a step back from the effects of advertising. This is why it is today setting up a scientific committee made up of some of the leading French-speaking specialists on the subject.

Stéphane Nachez, director of the publication, explains: “Finding the right balance between popularisation and scientific accuracy is a real balancing act. Although ActuIA is not intended to be a scientific journal as such, we want to offer our most demanding readers information that is as accurate and objective as possible, in order to make ActuIA a real tool for monitoring and decision support”.

The multidisciplinary scientific committee, led by Laurent Cervoni, is made up of :

The members of the scientific committee who do us the honour of joining the ActuIA initiative have been selected for their expertise and the diversity of their profiles. They act on their own behalf and not on behalf of the organisations and institutions to which they are affiliated. The committee will advise the editorial staff of ActuIA magazine on their editorial choices and a select committee will participate in the writing of technical articles in each issue of the quarterly.
