According to a report from Genius Consultants, 68% of companies believe AI in HR increases overall work accuracy

HR solutions provider Genius Consultants has released a report based on an online survey of more than 825 organizations across all industries, including banking and finance, construction and engineering, education, FMCG, hospitality, HR solutions, IT, ITES and BPO, logistics, manufacturing, media, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, among others.

According to the report, about 68% of the companies surveyed see the implementation of artificial intelligence in the HR process as increasing overall work accuracy.

On the other hand, 72% of the respondents agreed that the use of AI in the HR process also increases productivity and saves time due to the fact that many HR-related procedures can be automated and AI can enhance system efficiency through chatbots.

More than 44% of respondents indicated that AI-based chatbots are currently the preferred tool for initial interactions during the hiring process, which also helps new hires settle into their responsibilities and understand many aspects of the company later on.

However, 48% expressed skepticism about using chatbots, as most people have not yet adapted to the developing technology. Similarly, the report found that 68% of participants do not think AI technology is preferable for HR guidance and process, with implementation incurring huge costs and raising privacy concerns.

Yet, more than 63% said AI technology is a great help for employee onboarding and training, as it can deliver more impactful results on the job. More than 56% of those surveyed believe AI will overtake humans in the coming years.

The report indicates that most organizations are already implementing AI and other technological advances in many areas, from identifying candidates with the right skills to payroll, manufacturing and customer management.

According to 75% of respondents, new hires should be trained in automation and AI because it helps them better understand the business rules and if educational, it can also help reduce attrition.

RP Yadav, CMD, Genius Consultants, states:

“With the current scenario, AI is the way forward for all industries, including the HR sector. While it is seen as a cost center for companies, it should be seen as an investment for resource grooming.”
