EvidenceB and Pearson Group launch Atticus, an AI-enabled digital platform for studying Latin

Here is a tool that may help young students to study Latin. EvidenceB and the Pearson Group have just signed a partnership aiming at proposing to the general public, a platform for learning Latin based on AI.

The publisher of school education Pearson wished to ally with EvidenceB in order to develop digitally. EvidenceB, thanks to the latest advances in cognitive science put forward by the main research laboratories, wishes to create digital educational content dedicated to the study of Latin. It is in this context that Atticus, an Italian digital platform based on AI for learning Latin, was launched.

To create this platform, EvidenceB has developed an artificial intelligence engine that adapts and refines its educational content according to the level of the students. Thus, they progress more quickly in their learning of Latin. This AI engine was developed in collaboration with two laboratories: INRIA and LIP6. Atticus fits in with Pearson’s policy, as Mila Valsecchi, Managing Director of Pearson Italia, states:

“We are convinced that the use of such an innovative platform as Atticus, based on AI algorithms, will truly support the learning of Latin, providing each student with a personalized training and learning path. EvidenceB’s technology is at the heart of this revolution in learning. We are therefore delighted with this very promising collaboration and look forward to going even further with them.”

In the future, Atticus may be extended to other European countries, and the partnership to be offered in the creation of new modules for other languages, for example.
