Enedis unveils the winners of the 4th edition of its Start-Up competition focused on the ecological transition

As part of the 4th edition of its Start-Up competition, Enedis has unveiled the 11 winners who will be able to benefit from support from its teams. Every year, Enedis offers this competition to innovative start-ups and SMEs in order to develop and bring out innovative solutions to accelerate the ecological transition, one of the major challenges of our century.

Since 2015, Enedis has been partnering with start-ups and SMEs based in the regions and territories to innovate in areas related to electricity and the ecological transition. Building and deploying innovative services, being more efficient in digital fields, developing new ways of conceiving energy-related professions or offering local and inclusive public services, all in a pleasant environment, these are the challenges of the competition launched by Enedis. Following the 2019-2020 Start-Up competition, with the help of Enedis’ Nord Midi Pyrénées regional management, the EMILY project by the Numix start-up has enabled the professionalisation of workers in key positions (such as public distribution) thanks to a virtual reality tool.

For this 2020-2021 edition of the Start-Up Competition, the jury awarded 11 different prizes associated with five categories, as well as a special prize. All of this in the presence of Sébastien Jumel, Director of Development, Innovation and Digital, and Marianne Laigneau, Chairman of the Management Board. The latter, through her statements, wished to show all the interest of start-ups for innovation and ecological transition:

“The public electricity distribution network that Enedis manages is at the crossroads of many transitions: environmental, technological, digital, economic and societal. Because of our size and our presence in all the territories of France, the innovations we implement are destined to be industrialised on a large scale. The role of start-ups is vital in our ecosystem. We are determined to continue these collaborations to constantly enrich the services we provide to our 37 million customers.”
