France 2030: presentation of the “Industrial start-ups and deep tech” strategy on the Exotec website

Last October, Emmanuel Macron presented France 2030, a 30 billion euro investment plan for a dozen sectors of activity including digital, hydrogen, batteries, space, health and culture. The goal is to enable France and Europe to regain their independence in the industries and skills of the future. It is in this context that Agnès Pannier-Runacher and Cedric O will be visiting the premises of the start-up Exotec, in Croix (59) to present the “Industrial start-ups and deep tech” strategy on Wednesday 19 January.

During the visit of the start-up Exotec, specialized in the design of robots for logistics, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister Delegate for Industry and Cedric O, Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications will present the strategy “Industrial start-ups and deep tech” of the France 2030 investment plan.
This major investment plan, with a budget of €30 billion, aims to mobilize innovation to tackle the major challenges of today. Start-ups, with their ability to adapt very quickly to their environment and its changes, whether in the technological or industrial sector, play an important innovative role in this commitment. Their technological innovations, even disruptive ones, contribute to French sovereignty in strategic sectors (biotechnology, electronics, robotics, energy, etc.) and help create jobs.

A strong potential for employment

The government chose Exotec, a new industrial unicorn that just announced on January 17 that it had raised $335 million to announce this new strategy. Exotec plans to hire 500 R&D engineers by 2025 for its Croix site. Industrial startups indeed have a strong potential to create jobs all over the country. According to the French Tech impact report, the top 15 industrial startups could create 3,000 jobs by 2025 and up to 10,000 by 2030.

The two ministers will unveil the contours of this unprecedented strategy, which will better support these high-potential startups, from the laboratory to industrialization.
