Videtics, a French company that publishes video analysis software based on artificial intelligence and deep learning, announced that it has raised €2 million in funding from several investors and BPI France. This new investment will allow the company to recruit new developers and project managers and to accelerate the development of its technologies. The company has its sights set on the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Founded in 2019 by Alan Ferbach, Alexandre Reboul and Pierre-Alexis Le Borgne, all three PolyTech graduates, joined by Denis Seguin as director last November and Caroline Crouzet, marketing manager, Videtics has twelve employees. In partnership with the IMREDD (Mediterranean Institute of Environmental Risk and Sustainable Development of the Côte d’Azur University) and Nvidia, the company is developing innovative video analysis solutions based on AI and deep learning. His team is specialized in the architecture and optimization of neural networks.

In particular, it has developed the Videtics Perception software solution, which analyzes camera feeds in order to transmit relevant information to operators and infrastructure managers in real time, thanks to deep learning.

The start-up is part of the Start-It-Up program launched by the “3IA Côte d’Azur” Interdisciplinary Institute for Artificial Intelligence, which is helping to strengthen its relationships with research institutes. At the end of last month, it announced a partnership with AzurSoft to develop an AI module, MyVideoAnalytics, based on V-Perception.

This move will enable the company to accelerate its expansion into the smart cities and smart buildings markets. Videtics is already analyzing the 160 cameras of the Mohammed VI University in Ben Guérir to reduce the building’s energy consumption.

The company plans to strengthen its team and reach 25 employees by the end of the year.
