The start-up accelerator Future4care launches its first call for projects on digital health

Last June, Orange, Sanofi, Capgemini and Generali announced the creation of a European start-up accelerator called Future4care. As part of this launch, the four companies specified, among other initiatives, the future implementation of a call for projects. During the France Digital Day, which took place on September 22, Future4care presented the launch of its first call for projects dedicated to digital health.

A first call for projects dedicated to start-ups specialized in remote and/or personalized medicine

On June 10th, four French technology and artificial intelligence players decided to present their latest initiative: Future4care, an open-innovation ecosystem and a European accelerator for digital health start-ups. Before the official inauguration of the “BioPark Future4care”, which will allow e-health start-ups to develop, the accelerator is offering its very first call for projects.

With the aim of selecting 25 to 30 start-ups, this call for projects aims to offer these brand new companies an acceleration programme in relation to two themes: personalised medicine (medicine adapted to each patient, from diagnosis to treatment) and remote medicine (remote patient care using new technologies).

If they are selected, start-ups will have access to labs and an online platform to work freely and to exchange ideas with the right people. They will of course be able to join the Future4care campus, gain access to a network of healthcare and academic professionals as well as the expertise of the founding members of Future4care.

Deliberation in November, start of support in December

In order to apply, several criteria must be met by the start-ups:

  • The company’s headquarters must be located in Europe or the “sustainable establishment” objective must be in Europe
  • The start-up must have reached an “intermediate level” and need support to accelerate and possibly finance a “go to market”.
  • The teams must be fully available to participate in the acceleration program. Employees must devote 100% of their work time to their proposed project.
  • Respond to one of two themes: personalized medicine or remote medicine.

Since September 22, it is possible to apply, and this until October 24, 2021. Between November 16 and 24, a jury composed of members working for the four founding companies of Future4care will deliberate and select between 25 and 30 start-ups, whose identity will be announced on November 25. From December onwards, the start-ups will have access to the various work, reception, networking and meeting spaces and will benefit from personalized support.
