The Big Data and AI Paris 2021 innovation awards reward three projects

On Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 September, the tenth edition of Big Data & AI Paris took place, two days dedicated to AI and big data. As part of this event, the Innovation Trophies were awarded, in partnership with Le Monde Informatique, MyFrenchStartup.com and Cap Digital, to three ambitious projects, in the “Start-up”, “SME and large companies” and “Big Data & AI for Good” categories.

The 2021 edition of the Big Data & AI Paris Innovation Awards

The Big Data & AI Paris Innovation Awards honor the most technically and economically innovative projects. They are also based on their ability to make the most of data and respond to new business uses. This year, the jury also highlighted the high degree of specialization of the projects, which shows that data and AI can be adapted everywhere, as well as the fact that the development of data and AI technologies is making it possible to reach more and more varied fields.

In front of an audience present in person, but also remotely, four finalists pre-selected by a jury of experts presented their project by pitching it in only 3 minutes. The public, thanks to an electronic vote, was able to decide between the different initiatives in the “start-up” and “SME and large company” categories. The jury of the event awarded the last prize “Big Data & AI for Good” for a particularly inspiring project serving the general interest.

The winners will be associated with a large-scale communication plan to support the development of their projects:

  • for the “Start-up” category, a dedicated space on the next Village Startups and a membership to Cap Digital, strategic partner of the Trophies;
  • for the “SME and Large Company” category, two accesses (Full Pass) to all the conferences of the next edition of Big Data & AI Paris.

And the winners are …?

Here are the three winners of the three prizes of the 2021 Innovation Awards:

  • Startup” Prize – AZMED: to support the healthcare system by relieving the emergency services AZmed has developed Rayvolve, a diagnostic tool capable of detecting all types of fractures and thoracic pathologies on standard X-rays in less than a second. Rayvolve thus improves patient care and the working conditions of doctors.
  • SME and large company” prize – DATATEGY: the economic interest grouping (EIG) of the commercial courts called on Datategy to rate companies according to financial, sectoral and contextual criteria. The final objective is to alert companies to their shortcomings and offer them support services. The project provides a daily score on the financial health of the company, which highlights the key indicators to be monitored in the future to avoid financial failures.
  • Big Data & AI for Good” Award – La Macif: the firm has brought all the Free Text Zones (FTZ) of its IT programs into compliance with the RGPD. How? By integrating an analysis solution capable of detecting in the ZTLs comments that may contain insults, racist words or even health data, legal elements… and this while respecting personal data. This is a qualitative approach, but also reassuring for Macif’s business lines as regards data management in compliance with the legislative framework.
