Replay – SophiaConf 2020: Open Source, Artificial Intelligence and Containers

On June 29 and 30, SophiaConf, the major annual event organized by the Côte d’Azur’s Telecom Valley’s digital TV presenter, was held in its 100% digital version this year, as a result of the need to keep a distance. The second evening of this major summer event for open source players in the Côte d’Azur, on the theme of “Open Source, Artificial Intelligence, Containers”, brought together Jean Armel LUCE (ORANGE), Christophe DE DINECHIN (RED HAT) and David BENQUE (DATADOG) with Cédric ULMER (FRANCE LABS & Telecom Valley Open Source Community) in the role of moderator.

Free, or Open Source, as Telecom Valley reminds us, refers to an approach oriented towards the common good, allowing the sharing of knowledge through software sharing. Precursor of the Tech For Good notion, Open allows the free use of a software: freedom to modify the software, to use it, to understand it and freedom to redistribute the software. The four essential values of Open Source. And to underline that this software makes up the majority of technologies used today. From mobile phones to the Internet of Things, to Internet servers and applications, you use them everywhere!

During these two evenings of conferences, local experts will share feedback on Open Source around the following topics 4 themes: Artificial Intelligence, Containers, Covid-19 and Security. Access will remain free of charge as in previous years. But thanks to this digital format, all French speakers around the world will be able to attend the flagship conference of the Côte d’Azur Open this time.
