Intel Unveils “XPU Vision” with oneAPI and Intel Server GPU

Intel today announced key milestones in its journey to deliver a mix of architectures in a unified software experience, including the release of Intel® oneAPI Toolkits scheduled for December, as well as new software features as part of Intel’s approach to combining hardware and software design.

Intel is also launching its first discrete graphics processing unit (GPU) for data centers, theIntel® Server GPU

, based on the Xe-LP microarchitecture and designed specifically for high-density, low-latency cloud gaming and streaming media.

Today is a pivotal moment in our ambitious development of oneAPI and XPU. With the official release of the oneAPI Toolkits, we have extended the developers’ experience of programming toolkits from conventional CPUs to vector, raster and spatial architectures. We are also launching our first GPU for data centers, based on the Xe-LP microarchitecture that focuses on the growing segments of cloud gaming and streaming media. »
