Discover the twelve finalists of the 2021 edition of the Village Awards, where start-ups and large groups join forces to innovate

On September 30, the Village by CA Paris, a start-up accelerator, will hold its fourth Village Awards ceremony. The competition supports cooperation between start-ups and large groups and is open to the whole of France. In each region, several start-ups are associated with large companies that are already well established nationally and are chosen to participate in the national final in Paris.

The Village Awards: a competition where start-ups and large groups join forces for innovation

For the 2021 edition of the Village Awards, twelve duos have been selected and will be submitted for analysis by a jury of experts. Here is the complete list of jurors:

  • Yves Vilaginés, head of the Echos Entrepreneurs department
  • Catherine Moal, editor-in-chief of Alliancy
  • Fanny Bouton, Startup Program Leader of OVHcloud
  • Jacky Chang, founder of Paris Fashion Shops
  • Maud Funaro, Chief Transformation Officer of Printemps
  • Anaïs Ryterband, co-founder of Pandobac and winner of the Coopération startup x grand groupe responsable 2020 prize.

At this ceremony hosted by Fabrice Marsella, CEO of Village by CA Paris, five major categories will be rewarded: the most effective startup x large group cooperation, the most unexpected startup x large group cooperation, the responsible startup x large group cooperation, the jury’s special mention and the public prize.

Twelve finalists for five major prizes

Below are the twelve finalists competing for one of the five Village Awards 2021 prizes:

  • Most effective startup x large group cooperation:
    • AgriVitech and Cérèsia: The first collaboration between the startup and the group was on the use of the AgriVitech marketplace platform for Cérèsia’s vineyard subsidiary. The project quickly bore fruit, and AgriVitech deployed its Logistics, Procurement and Service solutions for farmers.
    • Sublissime and Leroy Merlin: The Leroy Merlin team asked Sublissime to photograph hundreds of products in order to change their shelf layout software. This solution will be deployed on a national scale.
    • ubble and Sofinco: ubble is specialized in remote identity verification. A first use case with Sofinco was worked on, which allowed to reach 3 objectives: to reinforce the security of the path, to be compliant and to transform prospects into customers.
  • The most unexpected startup x large group cooperation
    • Reverto and the Ministry of Justice: Reverto signed an innovative contract with the Ministry of Justice to develop an immersive experience for perpetrators of domestic violence to fight against domestic violence.
    • Yseop and Indosuez Wealth Management: Yseop, a pioneer in natural language text generation (NLG), has proposed to Indosuez Gestion a solution to put its financial data into words. The advantages of the solution are its speed of execution and the high degree of customization of management comments.
    • Oppus and Lefebvre Dalloz: Oppus x Lefebre Dalloz is a company born from the meeting between four students and the Lefebvre Sarrut group, within a matrix, a student entrepreneurship program around labor law. Oppus simplifies the drafting of HR documents and verifies in real time their compliance with the law and your collective agreements.
  • Cooperation between startup and large responsible group
    • Granny & Charly and Macif: The startup and the large group have created a platform that brings together seniors and students to provide companionship and help in everyday life.
    • Green Phoenix, Lingenheld Environnement and ES: The three structures are in partnership for the construction of a virtuous circle which goes from biowaste to biogas. They work together to implement and act concretely on the ground (collection, recovery, marketing), but also to promote it through a committed communication.
    • TerraTerre and Norsys: In this collaboration, Norsys is committed to supporting the transition of a farmer located less than 10 km from its headquarters, in exchange for obtaining carbon credits certified by the Ministry of Ecology. TerraTerre will monitor and support this farmer in his transition to sustainable, low-carbon agriculture, and will guarantee the reduction of carbon on a farm scale.
  • Special mention of the jury
    • Izicap and Crédit Agricole Payment Services: Izicap and Crédit Agricole Payment Services have developed the Up2pay Fidélité solution to support retailers in their digital transformation, with a unique and comprehensive distribution path offered on a turnkey basis to Crédit Agricole’s regional banks.
    • CibleR and Crédit Agricole Aquitaine: The collaboration gave birth to the Tourisme by CA initiative. This is a support platform for tourism professionals in France, promoted by the Crédit Agricole Mutuel d’Aquitaine Regional Bank. The free platform brings together tourism professionals and individuals.
    • Lab Venture Game and Abilways: Lab Venture Games is the gamification laboratory for professional training. Abilways is the leading multi-specialist group in continuing education. Together, they have developed 3 games.
