Digital Aquitaine launches its “AI Data Science” field of excellence in New Aquitaine

Officially recognized during the month of June 2021, the DomEx “IA Data Science” will aim to organize events in New Aquitaine and to structure the dynamics in the region around the topics of machine learning, statistics, business intelligence, operational research and AI. Digital Aquitaine had already validated its creation at the end of 2020 with the ambition of providing transversal expertise in all these fields. This is the association’s fifth area of excellence after the DomEx “Connected Commerce Club”, “Smart4D”, “TOPOS” and “ICT Health”.

A domain of excellence to unite the players in the New Aquitaine region

The Domain of Excellence (DomEx) “IA Data Science” aims to unite the main players in the New Aquitaine region who wish to improve their knowledge and share their best practices around artificial intelligence, statistics, business intelligence, machine learning and operational research.

DomEx will host several events to achieve this goal:

  • Monthly thematic workshops.
  • The annual Dataquitaine conference.
  • Workshops dedicated to an issue related to the above-mentioned themes.

The domain of excellence will communicate via a newsletter, a website and thanks to social networks with the community it federates and which includes associations, public interest groups, colleges and universities, companies of various sizes (independent consultants, startups, SMEs and large groups) or research laboratories.

Among the events already organized, there are three webconferences on trusted AI, women in AI and data science or the Dataquitaine 2021 conference. In addition, DomEx participated in Vivatech 2021 by being present at the launch of the international technological collective of the Village Francophone.

A team of volunteers to lead this community

A team of volunteers will be in charge of steering this community. It includes ten personalities from the different territories of the New Aquitaine region who will meet regularly to coordinate with the employees of Digital Aquitaine. Here is the complete list of the members of this team:
